About Daphne
Daphne Porras explores irrational and absurd human emotion from the feminine perspective using a diverse range of media.
Illustration & design are the foundations of works that exaggerate the figure through spontaneity and gesture rather than calculated thought.
Having studied in Los Angeles, San Diego, and London, she draws much of her inspiration from urban life, incorporating personal and imagined experiences. She often works in contrasting palettes, split between either black and white or soft, dreamlike hues intended to invoke visual pleasure simultaneously with discomfort.
